Update: It appears that things have been running smooth for a good period of time now. We will mark this as resolved.
Our datacenter is currently under a DDoS attack. This is affecting connectivity to our services. Although things appear to be running right now we are keeping an eye on the status because our datacenter has no yet marked the issue as resolved.
